Recently, we were contacted by Nokia Philippines to check out some apps for the Symbian S40 platform. (Other bloggers were tasked with S60 apps to check out.) The premise was to review apps that were available on these devices so that both current and potential users would be able to get some input on what they might want to install. Of course, with us not currently possessing an S40 device, they were nice enough to provide for us an Asha 202 to review with. The phone is one of their budget Dual-SIM phones but with a new touchscreen interface for better navigation and control. While our main purpose of holding onto it was to review the apps that you can install on it, we’ve also decided to give you a quick tour of the device in our standard “unboxing format”. So check that out here!

Our article for this unboxing is here:

  2. hello! can you suggest me what kind of phone to buy? i want a phone with enough memory space, comfy keypad/touchscreen, with quality camera, long life battery, with threaded view of the sms, dual sim, and can detect stronger signal when you are in remote areas. can you give me options of the phone brand and phone unit? Thanks.

  3. An Android is definitely more flexible and have a ton more apps as compared to something like this which doesn't have WiFi or 3G. However, if you need something that has a long battery live, solid build quality, and decent typing buttons there's nothing wrong with getting a Nokia S40 device. Hope that helps!

  4. The games ok! The Touchscreen ok! For budget for Filipino ok! The only thing that attract to that phone is the camera. No, I didn't mean the quality. The way it capture. but hey, did you check the quality of that camera?
